Rene De Paz, a Cuban-Spanish novelist and entrepreneur, was born in Havana, Cuba. At seventeen, he fled the Cuban dictatorship and poverty, arriving in the United States with two small backpacks, one filled with books. His passion for storytelling began in childhood but took shape with Climbing Mountains, the first book in his Mountains Trilogy.
At nineteen, Rene founded Mederi KOI®, a startup focused on democratizing global healthcare through technology and philanthropy. He also launched D’PAZ®, a lifestyle brand offering footwear, apparel, and beverages, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of D’PAZ Magazine®.
He managed to mark his own story of inspiration outside of his novels.
This magazine was born as an extension of the D’PAZ® brand vision, seeking to connect with an audience that values style, authenticity and commitment to excellence.
